Barry
tells the Queen Vic that Nat is expecting their baby. Nat is absolutely
furious because she was not sure if she wanted to keep the baby. She
doesn't know what to do, but she decides to book herself into an abortion
clinic. She confides in Pat that she is going to the clinic. Pat is unable
to persuade her not to go to the clinic.
Barry
keeps going around saying how great everything is. Eventually Nat manages
to get him to sit down and listen to her - she tells him she is going to
have an abortion. Barry is devastated and goes to pieces.
Nat
tells him she is not ready to have a baby yet. She then goes to stay at
her Mum's before going the next day to the clinic. Nat sees Pat outside
the clinic before going in. When Pat gets home Barry pleads with Pat to
tell him where Nat has gone. Eventually she tells him.
Barry
rushes to the clinic and tells Nat how much he loves her and the baby but
the decision is hers and he will love her whatever she does. Barry says he
will wait outside, Nat decides to keep the baby and comes out to meet
Barry and tell him the good news.
