To the left is the
complete Turin Shroud. You can see at the bottom the front of the man and
at the top is the man's back.
The black marks (holes) running up
the cloth close to the image are scorch marks caused when the shroud was
rescued from a blaze in the middle ages.
It had been held in a metal
container and the heat was so fierce that some of the metal melted and
fell on to the cloth.
